My face
I currently live in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, where I work as an education coordinator for a non-profit focused on supporting families and students transitioning out of homelessness. In 2019-2020 I lived in Santiago de Chile where I taught English as a second language and wrote on education. From 2012 to 2019 I was the Director of Media and later Director of Blended Learning for an online education provider in New York, NY.
My academic work has explored the ways in which the for-profit education industry alters public education policy. I am currently interested in how learning communities (particularly groups of educators) sustain themselves and gain influence within larger society. I have previously paid special attention to corporate education media’s impact on US learning. In 2018 I completed a Master of Arts from the Queens College Media Studies department in New York.
I grew up in the great little state of Vermont.
